This scheme is being implemented through an insurance policy of New India Assurance Company Limited. The minister said that 1,016 claims have been settled and paid till August 4, 2021.
Pawar said the implementation of the insurance scheme in the states and union territories is regularly reviewed by the officials of the Ministry of Health and Finance.
He said that during these reviews it was found that in some cases there were delays in payment of claims because of delay in receipt of incomplete claim documents or receipt of documents from States and Union Territories.
