Famous Bengali singer Nirmala Mishra (81 years) passed away in the early hours of Sunday due to a heart attack. She was battling age-related ailments for a long time. She was at her residence in Chetla area of South Kolkata today. Mishra was honored with the Balkrishna Das Award.The treating doctor told news agency PTI that Nirmala Mishra suffered a heart attack at around 12.05 pm tonight and was taken to a nearby nursing home, where she was declared brought dead.

He sang many songs for Oriya and Bengali films. There are many popular Bengali songs like ‘Eamon Ekta Jhinuk’, ‘Bolo To Arshi’, ‘Kagojer Phool Bole’, ‘E Banglar Mati Chai’ and ‘Aami Tomar’, which he lent his voice to. Apart from this, there are also film songs like ‘Tumi Akash Ekkhun Jodi’ and ‘Ami Hariye Felechi Ganer Saathire’ by Nirmala Mishra.

Family sources said that Nirmala used to insist on treatment at home itself. She remained at home even for the last time. She had been ill for a long time. Even before this, she has been admitted to the hospital many times. However, she was not ready for hospitalization and treatment, so arrangements were made for her treatment at home.
Today suddenly his health deteriorated and there was difficulty in breathing. After that there was death. According to doctors, Nirmala Mishra died due to cardiac arrest. Earlier, he had suffered three strokes and two heart attacks.
